Each year the NAHB Green Building Conference features a wide array of education opportunities, networking events, an exhibit hall showcasing the latest green technologies, and the National Green Building Awards. Plans are already underway for next year's conference to be held May 8-10, 2009 in Dallas, TX.
Individuals interested in speaking opportunities at the 2009 Green Building Conference are encouraged to submit their proposals online. Prospective speakers should demonstrate proficiency in areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality, waste management, design and low impact development. All proposals will be evaluated based on relevance to green building, timeliness of the topic, practical application, and speaker qualifications. Speakers do not need to be NAHB members, but they will be prompted to log in to the website to complete their proposal. Instructions and more information are available at www.nahb.org/ises.
More information about the National Green Building Awards, including award categories and application information will be available on/around August 22, 2008. The entry deadline is January 31, 2009.
