The impending National Green Building Standard, which is based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines and is being developed through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) consensus process, is being prepared by a committee of industry stakeholders led by NAHB and the International Code Council. The NAHB Research Center is serving as Secretariat for the consensus-based standard development process. Based on the current status of the process, the Standard is expected to be released by ANSI in early 2008.
