Score your green home nowReady to go green? Register or sign in to determine how many points your project would earn using the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines.

Consumers can develop ideas to discuss with their builders or remodelers. Builders or remodelers can develop green home designs to discuss with their trades or customers, and if they are intending to get the homes certified, they can develop their designs to hand off to their verifiers. The tool allows you, the user, to explore as much or as little of the supplementary information that you need or want at any step. The tool also provides continual feedback, informing you at every step where you stand and what you need to do to make your home green.

You must register to use the interactive scoring tool. This quick process allows you to save, edit, review and track green home projects. You may work on one, or several green scoring projects with the scoring tool, which provides the unique opportunity to compare building options. If you have already completed the registration process, log in to return to your projects.

Upon successful registration, you will start by defining your project, including location, name and brief description of your choice. Once the project is defined, you will be directed to the first NAHB Green Building Guidelines section, Lot Design, to begin scoring your project. While it is recommended, especially for first-time users, you do not need to complete any section before moving on to another. Use the links on the top and side of the page to navigate to other sections that interest you.
